MTech Mercy Chance
The students of MTech (1992, 1998, 2003 schemes) can now apply for a mercy chance. The examination fees can be remitted till 26th April without late fee and till 4th and 12th May with a late fee of Rs 50 and Rs 250 respectively. The exam schedule will be announced later. MBBS Results declared
The result of 3rd MBBS (Part 1) exam stands declared. For scrutiny and revaluation one can apply till 14th May. The requests for detailed mark list will be accepted after 4th May.
BHM Exam schedule
The 3rd semester BHM exam will be held on 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 24 May from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. The 7th semester exam will be held on 13, 18, 20, 25, 27, 29 May from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Detailed time table can be had from the exam centre.
MA English mark list
The students of 1st and 2nd year MA English who have not yet received their mark list will have to get in touch with the University office. The last date to apply for scrutiny and revaluation is 15th May.

Kerala University invites applications in the manner prescribed by potential candidates for the University of Kerala 2010 Common Admission Test (CAT KU-2010) for admission to the two-year MBA (full time) and MBA (full-time tourism) and the semester credit system 2010-2012. Students who are appearing for their final year / semester final exam grade are also eligible to apply - provided that no documents back to the last semester.1. Candidates should appear for the entrance examination for MBA of the University in the last week of May 2010 at any of the following centers: (1) Thiruvananthapuram (2) Kollam (3) Alappuzha (4) Thrissur (5) Adoor (6) Kannur NOTE: The University reserves the right to cancel any center if there is a sufficient number of candidates placed in the center. 2. Based on the performance in the entrance examination, candidates are invited to participate in discussion groups and interviews to be held in the third week of June 2010. 3. Classification List for admission to the MBA program will be completed according to the score on the entrance examination (70% weightage), Group Discussion (15% weightage) and Interview (15% weightage) to be published in early / second week of July 2010. 4. The counseling for admission will be during the third week of July 2010 to perform the following procedure: a. Top 20 posts at the Merit and the next 20 seats in the category of reservation will be completed IMK, Department Palayam b. Next 20 seats in the category of Merit and the subsequent 20 seats in the category of reservation will be completed MBA (Tourism) in IMK, Palayam department. c. 200 Next places Merit category and the subsequent 200 seats in the reservation category shall be completed for the extension centers. d. In the absence of SC / ST candidates, it will be occupied by OEC and subsequently by OBC candidates and candidates finally Open. e. Candidates have the option of choosing the Center only in terms of their merit in the provisional Ranklist. f. Moving center once admitted will not be permitted. g. Fee once remitted will not be returned. Eligibility for admission Any student who has spent a career of any Indian universities in the regular flow recognized by the University of Kerala, and will be in 10 2 3 pattern (or 10 +2 +4). In all cases, the student must have passed the examination of grade marks no less than 50% marks in Part III (without approximation, ie 49.999% is not eligible, because it is less than 50%) in BA, B. Sc, B. Com, etc, and the marks of 50% in total in the case of B. Tech, B. Sc (Agri) and other 4 / 5 racing years are eligible for admission. SC / ST candidates will relax as the rules of the University. Candidate received a Masters degree or other universities must submit a certificate of eligibility issued by the University of Kerala (Course Equivalency certificates) at the time of admission. The reservation of SC candidates is 15% and San candidate is 5%. In the case of candidates belonging to backward classes who are fit for the 20% reserve as GO (MS) dated 20.09.2008 No.107/08/H.Edn (Ezhavas - 8%, Muslim - 7% 1% LC/SIUC-, OBC Christian - 1%, OBC Hindus - 3%) and in the case of candidates belonging to forward communities in the reserve of 7.5% according to GO (MS) 20/09 dated No.108/2008/H.Edn 2008 have submitted a copy of the BPL certificate issued by the Village Officer or the competent authority. The last date of issue of application is 15/05/2010. BA Hist. exam postponed
The BA History Subsidiary (Indian History 1857-1964) exam scheduled for 29th April stands postponed. Fresh date will be announced later. The other subsidiary exams will be held as per schedule.
BA Engl.Viva postponed
The viva voce of BA English which was earlier scheduled for 5th, 6th May (College going & Regular) stands postponed to 11th and 12th May 2010.
BSc/BCA notional registration
Those who could not register for 1st and 2nd year BSc Computer Science and BCA exams under IDE can now apply for notional registration. The fee required is Rs 800 and the same has to be remitted within 31st May through Director of IDE.
UIT Mercy Chance
The students of 1995 admission BBA/BSc Electronics/BSc Computer Science/BCom Computer Applications Odd Semester (I,III,IV) who have failed in their internal exam can avail of another mercy chance and they can appear for their exam in the syllubus that they studied. The last date to apply for the same is 10th May without late fee and till 15th and 20th May with a fine of Rs 50 and Rs 250. Those who are appearing in the current scheme and syllabus will have to remit an additional of Rs 1000 along with the exam fees and those appearing under lapsed scheme and syllubus will have to remit Rs 3000 in addition to exam fees.
MEd entrance exam postponed
The last date to apply for MEd (Non-CSS) degree course (2010-11) has been postponed to 15th May and the entrance exam for the same has been postponed to 29th May.
M.Tech at Kerala Varsity
The University of Kerala has invited applications for admission to M.Tech Programme (sponsored and non-sponsored seats), conducted in Departments of Computer Science, Optoelectronics and Future Studies to be commenced on 15th September 2010. Candidtes seeking admission to the course have to possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology with at least 55% marks in one of the following branches: Computer Science and Engineering / Electronics Engineering / Electrical Engineering from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized degree of a recognized University or First Class Master’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Application from the University of Kerala or equivalent recognized Degree by AICTE / UGC / CSIR. Minimum marks in the qualifying examination for the SC/ST candidates are 50%. Admission for non-sponsored category of students will be made on the basis of GATE score. Candidates for sponsored seats must have a minimum experience of two years in relevant field and must be sponsored by the industry/training/research organizations. Application forms can be obtained from The Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science, University of Kerala, Kariavattom, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 581 on submission of pay-in-slip of University Cash Counter or crossed DD issued by any branch of SBT or SBI or District Co-operative Banks, drawn in favour of The Finance Officer, University of Kerala, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. The registration fee and fee for application form for M.Tech is Rs. 300/- (Rs.310/-, in case of DD). IGNOU launches super specialty M.Tech courses in Kerala
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced that it will be opening admissions for two new highly specialized M.Tech courses this year in Embedded Systems Design and Information System Security for serving engineers, teachers in engineering colleges and engineering graduates. he programmes are scheduled to begin from July/August this year. According to IGNOU officials, the students opting for the programmes would be exposed to projects in top laboratories and industries during summer. Special lectures on emerging technologies would also be organized for the students. This year, only 30 seats would be available for each course.
