The centre for Development of Advanced Computing is one of the foremost providers of advanced training in IT courses in the country. About some of the courses on offer in Kerala Established in March 1998, the centre for development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) was designed as an institution for the design, development and deployment of advanced IT based solutions. Today the C-DAC has grown from just a research and development organisation to being one of the foremost providers of advanced training in IT courses in the country. The success of C-DAC courses has been mainly due to the expertise the organisation has gained over the years in implementing projects for the scientific and business community. The organisation's powers in financial and capital market simulation and modelling, network and internet software, providing IT solution for the healthcare, for e governance in artificial intelligence and natural language processing are widely acknowledged today. Designing courses This
expertise has helped C-DAC design IT courses, which are top of the
line, and has enabled the organisation to provide placements for
those who complete the courses. C-DAC's IT courses are conducted
by its advanced computing training school (ACTS) and are offered
at more than 100 authorised training centres of the organisation,
more than 30,000 students pass out from various IT courses that
it offers. Entrance Test for Super Speciality Courses notified The Commissioner of entrance examinations has invited applications for the entrance examination for admission to various postgraduate super-speciality courses at the Medical Colleges at Trivandrum, Kottayam and Calicut The entrance examination would be conducted at Trivandrum on June 11 and on June 12 for admission to M.Ch Plastic surgery, M.Ch Paediatric Surgery, M.Ch Genito Urinary Surgery, M.Ch Thoracic Surgery, M.Ch Neuro Surgery, M.Ch Gastro Enterology Surgery, D.M.Cardiology, D.M Gastro Enteology, and D.M Neurology and for DM Nephrology The
examinations will consist of two papers-of one and a half hour duration-
with objective type (multiple choice) questions. Candidates must
appear for paper 1 and 2 for being considered for admission to a
